The M113 MRV (Medium Reconnaissance Vehicle) was an Australian Army reconnaissance and fire-support variant of the M113A1. Developed from the earlier Fire Support Vehicle, it mounted the 76 mm gun turret from the British-designed Scorpion light tank on the M113 chassis. The combination provided greater firepower than standard M113s while retaining good tracked mobility. Distinguished by its compact turret and long 76 mm gun, the MRV served with Australian armored reconnaissance units before being withdrawn from service.
